MIDHIRST SETTLERS’.
Fine weather for the inauguration of the Midhirst Settlers’ Sports yesterday materially assisted towards the large attendance. There was a good day’s sport, due to the excellent work of the committee (headed by Secretary Weyburne), and the hanclicappers (Messrs. Seabright and Shottes), and judges (Messrs. Walker and Baker). Among those present during the day was Mr J. B. Hine. M.P. The following were the results of tho"various events: —- IOOYds.
