winter show. In connection with the forthcoming 1 Winter Show, Messrs. E. Griffiths and i Co., have again offered a £iU 10s gold watch or £lO 10s cash for tho best two-acre of swedes grown from Garj ton’s seed and Shamrock Turnip ! Manure ,supplied by them or by their I authorised agents to the competitor. | Each competitor has to place on exhibition at tlio Show three of the sweds grown on the two acres. These will not-effect the judge’s verdict, but any competitor failing to comply with the condition will be disqualified from the contest. The crop will bo judg ed during the present month by a judge or judges appointed by the Society, but the judge’s decision will not be made known until the first day of the Show. Nomination 2s 6d, acceptance 2s 6d, which is to be made on or before the 2-lth May. Tho Soiety also offers the following prizes for the host three swedes exhibited at the Show in the above edmpotion. First 15s, second ss, no extra entry.
