Three bombs were discovered in a carriage in a train occupied by passengers at Kingston-on-Thames with pamphlets declaring that life and property were unsafe until women get the vote. A postal package delivered to Mr Bennett, Magistrate of Bow Street Court, contained a tin box fflled with gunpowder. It also contained a cartridge. An official receiver has been appointed to administer the estate of Pethick Lawrence. The sura of £6OO is involved. Lawrence declares that he is quite able to pay, but is fighting against an unjust law, which enables the executive to cruch anyone siding with revolt. (Received 10.45 a.m.) London, May 14. The principal evidence in the suffragette case indicated that Kennedy was paid a salary of four guineas weekly, Mistress Drummond and Mjss Kerr each received 70s; Sanders and Barrett each 60; and Christabel Pankhurst received 175 s for four months’ salary and travelling expenses. The police are searching for Hugh Franklin, Elsie Duval, Phyllis and Ella Stevenson, who disappeared after their license under the Hunger Strikers’ Act had expired.
