The Government Meteorologist (Rev 1). C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows : , The Indications are for westerly heavy gales and veering by south to east after 24 to 36 hours. The weather appears to be cloudy and unsettled; much rain is to expected to follow unsteady.
