The Inclrabarah sailed from Gisborne for Wanganui on Thursday alternoon to load frozen mutton and produce. No lives were lost. The vessel is reported to be breaking up fast. No further details are available.

A later message from Marton states that tho news was brought to Bulls by A. McLaren, one of the crew, who walked several miles to Mr K. W. Dalrymple’s. It was a stormy night with heavy rain, and a big sea was running. Ho says tho steamer is breaking up fast.

She is about a quarter of a mile from tho shore.

The crew are all safe, although one or two are very exhausted.

GISBORNE THE LAST PORT OF CALL.

According to a Wellington wire, the Inclraharah loaded at Auckland, Gisborne, Napier, and partly at Wellington, and she was on her way from Gisborne to Wanganui. The vessel was about half-loaded, and was to complete at Wanganui, Lyttelton, and Wellington.

SUPERIOR CARGO BOAT

Tho Indrabarah was built in 1910. and it was claimed for her at the time that there was no superior cargo boat of her particular type afloat. She was equipped with all latest appliances for rapid and safe handling of cargo. Her gross tonnage was 7395 tons, and her loading dimensions were 370 feet between perpendiculars, with beam of 53ft., and a moulded depth to shelter deck of 42ft. On her maiden voyage to Australasia the Indrabarah averaged a speed of 12j knots.
