The Social Political Union is experiencing difficulties in hiring public rooms. Tho St. Paul’s Cathedral authorities think that the bomb was constructed not to 'explode, but merely to attract attention and gain notoriety. PLOT AGAINST THE LORDS. (Received 8.0 a.m.) London, May 9. A detective gave evidence in the suffragette conspiracy case to the effect that he found a letter containing a suggestion to plot against the House of Lords by getting a suffragette typist a position there. Despite the prohibition, the National Labour press of Manchester printed the newspaper, “Tho Suffragette.’
