THE VISIT TO AUCKLAND. [Per Press Association.] Auckland, May G. Three hundred men, including the ship’s' band anc} two detachments, with field guns under Commander Grace, landed from the New Zealand tin© morning, arid marched out to Victoria Park, where they fired a salute in honor of the anniversary of the accession of King Geoi'ge. A prominent feature of the lithe procession, as it wound its way along between the lines of citizens, was “Pelorus Jack.” A Royal salute of 21 guns was fired by the field gun detachment. The party was afterwards inspected by the Governor. The total number of visitors to the vessel since her arrival in Auckland last Tuesday is 71,209. The following'are details of the daily tally;— Wednesday, April 30, 2808; Thursday, May 1, 7270; Friday, May 2, 4258; Saturday; May 3, 12,508; Sunday, May 4, 18,500; Monday, May 5, 11,323; Tuesday, May 6, 14,542; total for seven days 71,209.
