A boat witli four sick and famished men has arrived at Dongarra from the Norwegian sliij) Victor, hound from Delagoa Bay to New Caledonia. When forty miles off the coast she was practically in an abandoned condition. with disease aboard and a shortage- of provisions. They asked for assistance to navigate her to port. Shortly after leaving Delagoa Bay she ran into a storm, and was damaged. Disease then broke out. The captain two of the crew on April JO. Later, food ran short, some time before she made the Westralian coast. Those aboard were too few and too weak to navigate her, and assistance was sent for. IN A PARLOUS STATE. RESCUED BY FISHERMEN. (Received 10.-Id a.m.) Fremantle, May 6. The deaths of the captain and the first mate left the harqne in charge of the second mate, who was ignorant of how to navigate the vessel, which and then beating about in the vague hope of finding land. When they were found, the vessel was in a dangerous position between two reefs, and had the weather not been calm she must have been wrecked. Four men in a lifeboat left the vessel at nine o’clock in the morning and reached the fishing boat, Fleetwing, at four o’clock in the afternoon, and requested help to navigate her safely. Johansen, skipper of the Fleetwing, hoarded the Victor and brought the vessel safely into port. Four of the crew are suffering from African fever, which was brought aboard by mosquitoes at Delagoa Bay. They had plenty of provisions throughout.
