Air Fisher (Commonwealth Premier) lias announced that he has received a letter from Admiral Henderson, stating that lie thought the Admiralty made a mistake regarding the Canadian navy. If they had advised Can-* ada to follow Australia’s lead with a promise of all possible support in the creation of a navy of her own, it would probably have brought the parties together. They were ready to make sacrifices for a far higher policy, —an ideal one, certainly in the long run—, which would have been more advantageous to Canada and the whole Empire.
