MUNICIPAL ELECTIONS.
AN ELECTION PETITION
[Per Press Association.] Christchurch, May 2
An election petition petition signed by J. McCombs and live other electors of the Limvood ward was lodged day with the stipendiary magistrate “exercising jurisdiction at the .Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch, being the courthouse at or nearest to the principal polling place.’' Petitioners, after setting forth the names of the candidates and the result of the election, pray that it may be determined that i). G. Sullivan was duly elected, and ought to have been so declared. PATEA. The voting for the Mayoralty was as follows:—Larcombc 251, I)i. Simmons 150. The elected councillors were:— H. (). Clarke, B. T. Bennett, F, W. Grainger, A. T. Christensen, F. Ramsbottom, J. P. Egan, C. R. Honeyheld, L. May, and A. W. Gunn.
