WEATHER FORECAST.
The Government Meteorologist (Rev. D. C. Bates) telegraphed this afternoon as follows:The indications are for southerly strong winds to gale prevailing. Heavy rain is to be expected with rivers flooded, and there will bo snow on the high country. The night will probably bo very cold.
