Second Edition RECIPROCITY.
BETWEEN AUSTRALIA AND NEW Zealand. (Received 9.50 a.m.) Melbourne, May 2. Mr Fisher has announced that as the result of the discussion an arrangement has been arrived at between Mr F./M. B. Fisher (New Zealand), and that a reciprocal scheme for old age pensions should bo tried for a period of five years, as outlined yesterday. In order to prevent cither country becoming charged with an undue proportion of tho other’s liabilities, the calculations will be made on a population basis, and logishrtion will bo required to give effect to the scheme.
