The registration of the Otago Trades and Labor Association under the Arbitration Act has been cancelled. A CURIOUS POSITION. Sydney, May 1. The members of the 'Amalgamated Workers’ Association employed by the Federal Government, who demand £7 for a 44-bour week, are causing much inconvenience in the shipping trade. They are being supported by other workers, who are striking in sympathy! A peculiar feature is that Mr R'ylands, Director of Lands in the Northern Territory, and a special magistrate, who is a member of the dtSapciation, is amongst those called opt, 1 and Pas allotted picket duty at Government House.
