IMMIGRATION OF RESTRICTION. [By Electric Telegraph—Copyright] [United Press Association.] (Received 8.20 a.m.) Capetown, May 1. Mr Fischer (Minister of the Interior) moved the second reading of the Immigration Restriction Bill, remarking thdt the power of exclusion followed on the lines of the Canadian nieasure, holding that Japanese were lea dbjectionable than Austrians. Cr Chaplain described clause three as calculated to facilitate autocratic shopping. The Immigration Bill also interfered with existing rights.
