LATE LOCALS.
Haros must be fairly plentiful in the Stratford district. A party of three guns bagged twenty-seven hares in four hours yesterday.
Four rinks from the Hawera Bowling Club will bo engaged in a match with the local club on the Stratford green next Wednesday.
It is being reported that as a result of the recently-formed picturefilm combination the prices of admission to picture shows will be raised, but we learn from Madame Bernard that as far as His Majesty’s is concerned, there will be no alteration in the present popular prices. On Wednesday evening there will he a further meeting of the members of the Taranaki Provincial Scottish Society to make arrangements for the concert and ball, to be held on the 19th of June. Committees have been set up to superintend the catering, for which tenders will be called, and to arrange the musical portion of the programme. Xeedless to say, every effort, will bo made to procure the best talent available.
