IMPORTANT LAND DEAL.

EGMONT BOX CO. SECURES TIMBER FOR FIFTY YEARS.

The Egmont Bos Company has just completed an important land transaction that has an important hearing upon the future progress of Elthaxn. The Company has secured a very large area of land in the King Country, containing millions upon millions of feet of white pine timber; enough, the experts say to meet the Dominion’s demand for butter boxes and cheese crates for the next fifty years. Hitherto the Company has been in a position to cope with the Taranaki demand alone, but with the stock of timber that is now at its disposal, it will lie able to deal with the demands of the Dominion, says the Argus. This is the most important investment yet made on behalf of the Taranaki Dairy Factories and gives greatly increased value to the Box Company shares. The directors are entitled to the congratulations and thanks of the shareholders for carrying out such a successful transaction.
