Sir John French at the London Chamber of Commerce dinner, said an invasion of England shohld not be our chief or only apprehension. Our attention should be fixed on perfecting the forces necessary to secure Imperial world-wide interests. The difficulty of the British strategist lies in the multitude and complexity of the problems of the defence of a worldwide Empire, especially, with an everchanging danger point.
