The Ambassador of Washington has been instructed to protest against the Tariff Bill’s proposal and examine the books of German exporting houses in order to guard against undervaluation ; also to protest against differential treatment in connection with German goods being carired in American vessels, which is declared to be a violation of the Treaties, which guarantee equality of treatment.
