NORTH TARANAKI HUNT.
(By “Tally-ho.?’) The opening meet of the North Taranaki Hunt took place at Mr Wheatley’s (Lepperton) yesterday. The weather proved to be the best. About fifty active members took part in the run, and there were,about a,hundred spectators. There were many falls, but nothing befit mi s'." ’' The" ’ Wsitbrs ' Wfefe 1 entertained to both lunch and afternoon tealby Mr Wheatley and family. Tlley had to lead their horses to Inglewood the night before and return by road during the night, . after having a big day. There are about fourteen local members, and it is hoped to reach twenty ere long. . The nfext hunt is on the 24th at Waitara. A good day is assured, as the country is splendid for hunting.
