The Frenchman who was arrested in connection with the attempt on the life of the King has been released. Ho alleges that the revolver used by Alegre, who fired the shots, belonged ■to the policeman. The latter has been arrested. He declares that he is unable to explain how his revolver came into Alegre’s possession.
