The services at the Broadway Methodist Church to-morrow will be conducted by Rev. A. Reader. Evening subject; “A Wondrous Sight.” All are cordially invited.

Messrs Webster, Dobson and Co., Strathmore, call a sale on Monday. Messrs Matthews, Bennett and Co.’s stock sale at Inglewood yards on Wednesday, April 9th. The N.Z.L. and M.A. Co.’s usual stock sales at Eltham and Hawera will be held next week, the former on Wednesday 9th, and the latter on Thursday 10th. Good entries have been received for both days. Messrs McMillan and Fredric have secured the sole agency of electric motors manufactured by Rhodes Bros., of Doncaster, England. Persons interested should pay special attention to the distinct advantages of these motors, as advertised in tho firm’s replace advt. Oddfellows’ Euchre Party on Monday night. Tho Taranaki Hardware Co., of Broadway, Stratford are solo agents for tho Standard Sewing Machine, which can be bought for £6 10s, with a guarantee till 1921. This is a chance for the housewife. The price of pigs has gone up. Thos. Borthwick and Sons and Dimock and Co. are advertising their buying prices in this issue. The Egmont Coach and Carriage Factory, from special designs of their own, have just built one or two up-to-date sanitary milk floats so constructed that the cans are protected as far as possible from dust and rain. The conveyance appears to be an ideal one for a town milk supply. American pony mare and carriage to seat four children for sale. Furnished rooms (in private family) to let. A reward is offered for finder of a throw-over. The party who took brown coat from Town Hall on Thursday night is requested to return same.
