RIFLE SHOOTING.
. (By Bullseye.) Ten members of the Stratford Rifle Club assembled on Thursday at the 300, 500, and 600 yards ranges. Some excellent shooting was done. The conditions were very tricky, there being a fish-tail wind and a very changing light. Rifleman Thorpe put up the excellent score of 99. The committee wish to see the younger shots on the range more often, so that they can be coached to take part in the teams matches that are coming off shortly. The following are the scores madp by those present:—
300 500 600 Tl. N. F. Thorpe ... 34 34 31 99 A. E. Wickham ... 28 33 33 94 C. H. Speck ... 32 32 30 94 W, Brocklebank ... 30 30 31 91 C. Jackson ... 29 31 29 89 A. Speck ... 28 27 33 88 A. Ferguson ... 28 29 25 82 J. McMahon ... 31 22 26 79 J. Mitchel ... 31 29 19 79 A. Sangster . 4 . 27 24 51
