FEDERAL LIBERAL CAMPAIGN

Mr Joseph Cbok, leader of the party at Parramatta, opened tlio I.iLberal campaign, and outlined the Federal platform, the chief planks of which were a vigorous immigration and settlement policy; freedom from the caucus or similar control hostile to liberty, whether political, social, or industrial; close and effective cooperation between Britain and the self-governing colonies maintaining (ur superiority; increased encouragement of rifle clubs; national insurance on a contributory basis; the maintenance of the present tariff; restoration of sound finance; consolidation of Federal State debates; electoral reform, including restoration of the postal vote; removal of undue restriction on the liberty of the press and political associations, and control of trust combinations.
