- The weather was bright and cool for the races. This was a stayers’ day there being no race except for two-year-olds under a mile and a quarter. The owners of Validol lodged notice of appeal against the stipendiary stewards’ decision. Results 1 ; — •Rous Handicap.—Barios, 8.5 (Connell), 1; Tartanus, 7.2 (Finn), 2; Beta, 7.3 (William), 3. Ten started. (Von by three lengths, twoHengths between second and third. Time, 2min 22sec.
Place Handicap.—Hallowmass, 9.10 (Lambert), 1; Lochano, 8.7 (Pike), '2; Patrimony, 7.0 (JJra’cken), 3. Also ran: Jacamar, Bernard, Didus and New South Wales. Patrimony led for a mile, followed by Lochano, Hallowmass and Bernard. In the straight, Lochano was leading Jacamar and Patrimony, but Hallowmass, by a fine run in the last 100 yards, won easily by lengths; three lengths between second and third. Time, 2min 35sec. 'Steeplechase.—Sir Lethe, 12.0 (Cross), 1; The Miser, 11.2 (Fell), 2. Time, 7mih 2isec.

Two fillies by a'Harrow colt, by King Rufus, offered on account of Mr G. M. Currie, of New Zealand, were passed in. A Sydney message states that the prize-money for the Autumn meeting totalled £30,402. The principal.winners were Messrs. E. ,J. Watt £1921,Greenwood £559, and Cameron £366.
