ECHO OF THE WARATAH.
IS IT A HOAX? By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) (Received 9.25 a.m.) Sydney, March 30. The captain of the steamer from Malaita has brought a bottle containing a pencilled note as follows:—“vVe are lost—there is no hope, G. W. E.— s.s. Waratah.” It was found on Tenna Island, New Hebrides. The opinion in marine circles is that it is a hoax.
