AT CHATALDJA. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) Constantinople, March 29. The boom of cannon was audible in the city. Hundreds of wounded are arriving daily. The Turkish loss at Chataldja was 1200 and 3500 wounded. Enver Bey’s force was trapped over a mined area, and the explosion of the mine caused heavy loss. Sixty thousand Bulgarians suddenly attacked and drove the Turkish right wing back, and almost turned the centre. AUSTRIA 6 THREATENS WAR. Cettinje, March 29. The Foreign Minister states that Europe, by a most crying injustice, is attempting to rob Montenegro of Scutari. Montenegro cannot accept the decision, and appeals to the British sense of justice. The Government has received the Powers’ collective note. London, March 29. The Telegraph’s Vienna correspondent states that Austria’s patience is exhausted, and she will take swift steps to execute the will of Europe if Montenegro does not accept the Powers’ decision. I SIEGE OF SCUTARI. Belgrade, March 29. The newspapers report that King Nicholas has ordered a renewal of the bombardment of Scutari. A fierce attack is proceeding on all sides. BULGARIANS AND SERVIANS SHARE SPOILS. VALUED AT £7,000,000. Adrianople, March 29. The value of war material captured is £7,000,000. This will be«equally divided between the Servians and Buli ganans. Sofia, March 29. The populace of Adrianople did not suffer much, and only a few buildings were damaged by the bombardment. There was no epidemics. Many of the Turks destroyed their rifles and disabled their guns before surrendering. The electric light and wireless stations were also destroyed. General Ivanoff’s despatch states that the Bulgarians captured the eastern forts, whereupon Chukri Pasha surrendered. The operations of the Bulgarian and Servian troops in the other positions around Adrianople were merely of a demonstrative character. The forces were still far from the circle forts when the east front fell. Belgrade, March 29 M. (Received 8.0 a.m.) Sofia, March 30. Chukri Pasha and seven generals were in deep emotion during the reception of the Commandant at Sofia. The Commandant praised them for their bravery and conducted them to the residence while in captivity. VICTORS’ HEAVY LOSSES. ESTIMATE OF THE CAPTURED.
(Received 8.45 a.m.) Sofia, March 30. Headquarters estimate that the Bulgarians lost 11,000 killed and wounded at Adrianople. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday the Servians lost 1200. Sixty thousand prisoners were taken, including thirteen generals and 820 other officers ; also 65 guns. Belgrade, March 30. It is officially stated that Chukri Pasha and 172 officers were in Hadurluk fort when the Servians captured it, but they were unmolested all day, in order that they might formally surrender to General Ivanoff. (Received 9.20 a.m.) London, March 30. Reuters state that Bulgaria agrees to the Powers’ recommendation, except the Enos-Midia lino and an indemnity. Bulgaria is prepared to accept the Midea-Gulf of Saros line, leaving the Sea of Marmora and the Dardanelles to Turkey, but she insists on an indemnity if responsible for a portion of the Ottoman debt. BULGARIANS DEFEATED. » Constantinople, March 30. The Bulgarians at night attacked an advanced position at Biyukchekmedge. The Turks retired, but coun-ter-attacked the left wing, and, aided by the fleet, drove off the Bulgarions, whose attack on Mouradli Hill was also unsuccessful.
