STRATFORD V. ELTHAM. ■: -I V K 1: ,it -• (By Kitty.) President King thanked the Eltham bowlers at the conclusion of the game yesterday afternoon for thb very pleasant match that had eventuated. It was always an enjoyable meeting between the two clubs, he said, as the players from Eltham were “sports.” As it happened, it was the first match between Stratford and Eltham this season, and it had ended in favour of Stratford by a narrow margin of paints. Although the season wa* getting on, the president said he hoped on behalf of the club that another meeting would be arranged between them shortly. On his call, hearty cheers were given by the home players for the visitor’s. Mr Gooder led Eltham in a similar compliment to Stratford.

Ideal bowling weather had prevailed during the afternoon, and a very pleasant time was spent. Tea had beei prepared by the ladies and was dispeii ■ sed to all and sundry. It will be seen from the scores below that Stratford were victorious by 15 points in the aggregate. Stratford players are mentioned first: —
