HOME RULE.
i 0 A SPEECH BY SIR JOSEPH WARD. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) I
(Received 1.-10 p.m.) London, March 17
Sir Joseph Ward, speaking at the Irish National dinner, eulogised Mr Redmond’s wise and courageous leadership. He emphasised the fact that the Overseas premiers at the last two Imperial Conferences, wherever thev were born or whatever their re-
spective creeds, were strenuous supporters of Home Rule. He believed irishmen at Home were equally as loyal as those Overseas. He incidentally remarked that every Irishman in New Zealand willingly bore bis share of the Dreadnought. He concluded by anticipating a great struggle making for the unity and strength of the crowned peace.
