AARON’S TOMB.

A London message to the Sydney

Sun of February 24 states that Mr Julian Grande, a traveller, who has jugt returned from a tour of Egypt, Arabia, and Palestine, declares that he entered the shrine at the top of Mount Hor, which is reputed to be the tomb of Aaron.

The shrine, he says, is most jealously guarded by Mohammedans, and has never been examined by a competent archaeologist. Mr Grande succeeded in photographing the interior, though in doing so he stood a good chance of being shot / by a fanatic Arab who kept him cov!ered with a rifle. JVIr Grande says that ho saw a number of Hebrew inscriptions within the shrine.
