WEBSTER, DOBSON AND CO.’S STOCK REPORT. On Monday at Strathmore we held our monthly sale. There was a good yarding of cattle and sheep, all of which were sold. Competition was good. We quote:—Mixed weaners 335, 18-month heifers £3 6s to £3 15s, do. steers £3 3s to £3 11s, forward cows £4 10s to £4 14s, store do. £1 10s to £3 10s, bulls £3 to £3 17s, lambs 8s 9d, cull do. 6s to 6s 6d, heifers in calf £5 10s.

At Stratford on Tuesday we had a full yarding with a good attendance. Competition was fair throughout and everything was cleared at the hammer or after. We quote: Weaner ■steers 30s to 40s 6d, do. heifers 32s 6d to 41s, coloured do. £2 10s 6d to £3, 20-month steers £3 7s 6d to £3 15s, do. heifers £3 8s to £3 14s, fat cows £5 4s to £6 2s, forward do. £4 2s 6d to £4 14®, store do. 50s to £3 17s 6d, aged do. £1 10s to 455, heifers in calf £4 7s 6d to £5 2s 6d, bulls £3 6s to £7 ss, cull ewes 6s. We have sold privately.—Mixed weaners 28s to 32s 6d, coloured heifers 40s to £3 2s 6d, store cows 70s, 77s 6d, 85s, 92s 6d, 20-month steers £3 10s to £3 16s, heifers in calf £4 10s to £5 2s 6d, lambs 7s 6d to 10s 3d, f.m. ewes 8s to 10s 6d, pedigree Jersey bull 20 guineas. Pedigree Jersey cow 50 guineas. f ].

MATTHEWS, BEXNETT AND CO.’S REPORT. Matthews, Bennett and Co. report that there were small attendances at their supplementary sheep fairs at Matau, Tarata, and .Inglewood owing to excessive rain. Nevertheless, at Matau on Monday there was a good yarding and the following prices were relised: F.M. ewes 7s to 8s 7d, wethers 14s Id, lambs 5s 9d to 7s lOd, rams £1 to £1 10s, 18-month steers £2 17s Gd. At Tarata on Tuesday there was a good yarding and a good lot of stock changed hands as follows: F.M. ewes 6s to 10s, cull ewes 2s 6d to 5s Id, 2-tooth wethers 12s 6d, cull lambs 3s od to 4s 6d, calves £1 3s, 18-month heifers £3 Is, 18 to 20-month steers £3 8s 6d to £4 ss, rams £1 Is to £2 12s Gd, culls 4s to 7s Gd. At Inglewood on Wednesday there was a fair yarding. Good cows made £1 10s to £1 16s, 15 to 18-month £2 6s Gd to £3 9s, store cows £2 2s Gd to £3 14 s, old ewes 4s 9d to 5s 4d, f.m. ewes 7s to 7s Gd, lambs 6s Gd to 7s Id, rams £1 Is to £2 17s 9d.
