LONDON WOOL SALES, - (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) (Received 1.40 p.m.) London, March 10. At the wool sales there was failcompetition, with slightly easier values for faulty and wasty, while good wools were firm. ■ Newton King's Stratfcrd Weakly . Report. At the Haymdrket on Saturday last there was a medium yarding of pigs. There was also a fair attendance. Pi-ices ruling were about par with last, sale, with 'the exception of small lines, which w ere hard to quit. I quote-Slips and wCaners 4s fid , to 11s, small stores 12s to 19s, medium do £1 4s fid to £1 7s, good and forward do £1 14s to£2 2s, sows £2 15s. At the Mart.—Poultry: Hens Is Id to Is'7tl, roosters Is 3d to Is. 6d, ducks Is 6d to Is 9d, turkeys 4s Od to ss, potatoes 8s cwt., furniture, drapery and sundries at usual rates. Fruit: About 500 cases came to hand during the week, chiefly pears and apples, and were sold according to size of cases and quality. Peaches 3s 6d to ss, pears 2s 9d to 4s, apples 2s to 6s, tomatoes Is 9d to 4s fid, grapes 4s fid to ss, quinces 2s to j 4s.
