POSTAL RATES. Letters and Letter Cards.— lnland, including Cook Islands, Id for each 4oa or fraction thereof, and Jd for each succeeding 2oz. United Kingdom, British Possessions, United States, Chili, Costa Bica, Egypt, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Nigeria, Peru, Pago Pago, Paraguay, Portugal, and Portufuese Colonies, Siam, Servia, and 'ostal Agencies in Chinese Treaty Ports, Id for each ok. or fraction thereof; all other places 2Jd for the first oz. or fraction tnereof, and lid for each succeeding oz. or fraction thereof.
Post Cards. —lnland, single, id; reply, Id; all other places, single, Id; reply 2d. Printed Papers (including Books and Magazines, not registered).—All places, id per 2oz • Magazines (registered), inland, id for every Boz or fraction thereof. Foreign, id per 2oz or fraction thereof. One end must be left open. Commercial Papers— Town (for accounts, etc., only), id for 2ozs, or. Id for first 4oz and id each succeeding 2oz. Inland, Id for first 4oz, and id for each . succeeding 2oz. All other places lOoz 2id, and id for every additional 2oz (Open for inspection!. Newspapers. —Town and Inland, id each. TELEPHONES. Charges.— it exchanges continuously open—Business establishments, £7; private residences, £6 per annum. Exchanges not continuously open, an equal charge of £6. . n /, Telephone Exchanges at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, Invercargill, Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, and Wanganui are open all day aqd all night.
