AMUSEMENTS.

HIS MAJESTY’S THEATRE. Even the unfavourable weather failed to keep patrons away from tho pictures last night, and His Majesty’s theatre was well patronised, those present being well rewarded by viewing a particularly good selection of the latest and best. A trained horse, that accomplishes several wonderful feats, is the principal feature of the “star” drama, “Equine Hero.” Bandits, sheriffs, cowboys, and a dashing heroine, flit about this picture in great style, every foot bf film producing fresh sensations, and thrilling incidents. “The Players” is a Lubin drama of considerable merit, “The Gaumont Graphic” always bright and interesting, includes a particularly happy selection of topical events, and tho latest number is easily one of the best yet screened here. “Making a Cycle” is an industrial picture which makes a wide appeal for everyone is interested more or less in the construction of machine that is so universally known. Tho film has been taken by an expert, and tho industry is clearly and graphically illustrated. “On the Bosphorous” and “Trip to Bosnia” are the two scenic films. The former shows some striking sea-scapes, while tho latter includes some remarkably picturesque views. “Alkali Ike’s Pants” is a comic that produces roars of laughter last night, and patrons should not miss seeing the great American funny-man lose his trousers and his prospective bride—misfortune following misfortune. Tho music supplied by the increased orchestra is undoubtedly of the highest order, and makes the show go with a vim.
