NOMINATIONS for events 3,4 s 5, 6,7, 8, 10, 11, 12 and 16 close with the Secretary at Matau at 8 p.m, on SATURDAY, March 1. ACCEPTANCES at 10 a.m. on day of Sports. All entries to bo accompanied by fees and performances for the last two years. If no performances for two years, the last four to be given. The Committee reserve the right to hold moneys in case of protest. Each protest to be accompanied by a fee of os, to be forfeited if protest is not upheld or considered trivial. 1 District includes Pohoknra to foot of Whangamomona Saddle, to Strathmore Township, thence along Akama Road and Head Road to Waitara Road, to Tarata’ Bridge and Matau North to Uruti. The Committee reserve the right to postpone the Sports or make any alteration in the programme. The events are held under the Taranaki Athletic and Caledonian Association and tho New Zealand Axemen’s Association. HANDICAPS will appear in the “Evening Post,” of March 8.
