DOMINION RIFLE ASSOCIATION.
THE WELLINGTON MATCH. (Per Press Association.) , Trent ham, March 4. Shooting started this morning with the Wellington Match, ten shots at 500 and GOO yards. The light was hard and brilliant, causing bad refractions, and the wind at times was heavy with gusts from the left. This militated against scoring, although the men are getting into form. An ex-cham-pion, Duncan (Millerton), and Fogarty (Dunedin), put on possibles, but the average scores were far below what might have been expected at 500 yards, Which is one of the easiest ranges; Clung (Wellington) 95, £4; Milroy (Nelson) and Potter (Auckland) each 91, £3 each; Cameron (Opaki). 90; Bryden (Kaiapoi), Palmer (Patea), W. Cox (Auckland), each 89.
