arrangements for GY AIK HAN A. There was a full meeting of the Executive of tho Stratford A. and B. Association last evening. Grounds Ccmrnittoo’s Report. The Grounds Committee inspected the grounds on Wednesday, and recommended; (1). That tenders be invited for grazing on the same conditions as at present; (2) that t.ic cottage be let with right to graze one cow; (3) that railing on north side of Hunters Competitors enclosure be moved so that the west end of same he half a chain further north, and that the enclosure bo wire-netted under rails; (4) that the vehicle entrance and land be graded at least three months before next Spring show; <o) Hurt the earth touching the walls of tho People’s stand be moved, leaving the timber clear of tho ground; ((>) that the portion of the oval to be used for bicycle racing be rolled with Llio Borough roller. The committee also reported that Mr E. Nowlaud was at work carting soil from Broadway and filling in low places on the grounds and oval. From enquiries made from local auctioneers concerning the ram fair, the committee was of tho opinion that it was now too late in the year to attempt to hold mo this year, but that tho matter should have attention again next September, with a view to holding a ram fair in the autumn. The comul ttea thought this could bo established with advantage to the Association. Tho Gymkhana. It was decided that the rules and regulations governing the spring show will as far as possible apply to the Gymkhana. The matter of a shooting gallery for the Gymkhana was left in the hands of the secretary. Mr J. B. Richards will have charge of the gates and gatekeepers, with Mr W. H. H. Young as his- assistant, [’he matter of procuring sheep and pigs for guessing competitions was also left in Air Richards’ hands. Mr A. E. Osmond will control the guessing competitions. Other duties were allotted as follows: Holding paddock, Mr R. Dingle; bicycling events, Mr I). J. Malone and Air Wanu; ring, Air A. Stewart, with Air J. Brake and Air H. Good, assistants; military events, Captain Lampen; grandstand, Air R. AicK. Morison; protest committee, Messrs Young, Osmond, and Brake; weighing and measuring, Air R. Alasters; stepping chain events, Messrs Porritt and C. Jackson. Admission to the grounds was fixed at Is for adults and 6d for children under 14. Admission to the grandstand will be; Alen Is, women and children Gd. Vehicles will be charged Is admission.
