PUBLIC NOTICES. STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL. BRIDGE SPECIAL LOAN OF £6OOO. The council of the borOUGH OF STRATFORD hereby gives Public Notice that it proposes to borrow, by way of SPECIAL LOAN, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908,” the sum of £6OOO. (a) The particular purpose for which the said loan is required is to erect a new concrete bridge on Broadway, across the Patea River, of the full width of the Street, to replace the present bridge known as Victoria Bridge. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purpose is £6OOO, at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 per centum per annum, with a Sinking Fund ol One half per centum per annum additional. (c) The proposed security for the said loan is an annually recurring Special Rate of Seven-eix-tcenths of a penny (7-16 d) in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateable property within the Borough, and it i« proposed to repay the said loan at the expiration of Forty years from the raising of the loan, by means of the Sinking Fund and otherwise. (d) It is proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising the loan, and the first year’s interest of the loan during the construction of the said works. Dated this 17th day of February, '913. NOTICE OF POLL NOTICE is Hereby given that a Poll of the Ratepayers of the Borough of Stratford will be taken on the proposal described in the above notice at the Borough Council Chambers, Broadway, in the Borough of Stratford, on Wednesday, the Nineteenth day of March, 1913, between the hours of nine o’clock in the forenoon and seven o’clock in the afternoon. The council of the borough OF STRATFORD hereby gives Public Notice that it proposer to borrow, by way of SPECIAL LOAN, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1908,” the sum of £4OOO. (a) The particular purposes for which the said loan is required are to provide additions to anc extensions and improvements o' the Waterworks, and to acquire in connection therewith lands rights, easements, advantages and appurtenances, and build ings, structures, engines, machinery, filters, water-pipes, and other things; to pay compensation for any lands taken or injuriously affected; and any other purposes incidental to or ir relation to any of the above purposes. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed for such purposes ii £4OOO. at a rate of interest not exceeding Five pounds per cent um per annum, with a Sinking Fund of One half per centum per annum additional. (c) The proposed security for tin 1 said loan is an annually recurring Special Rate of One farthing (id) in the £ on the unimproved value of all rateabh property within the Borough and it is proposed to repay tin said loan at the expiration of Forty years from the raising o' the loan, by means of the Sinking Fund and otherwise.
