THE AUCKLAND EXHIBITION. Timaru, February 23. The committee appointed by delegates of local bodies decided to recommend co-operation in fitting up a South Canterbury exhibit at Auckland, at a cost of £ISOO. THE SOUTH CANTERBURY HARVEST, Between two and three inches of rain has fallen during the last two days, which must have an injurious effect on the harvest. Much of the crop is still in the stook, and in many cases the stooks scattered by the gale ten days ago had not been re-stookod, and will be in a worse plight stijl, while the paddocks will be soft for the reaper when the standing corn is dry enough to harvest. On the other hand, the rain was needed for the turnips.
