TARANAKI AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY.
DOMJNON RECORDS BEATEN IN STOCK ENTRIES. Sixteen hundred and fifty-two entries have been received by the Taranaki Agricultural and Pastoral Association for the Autumn Show, a magnificent total which eclipses the previous New Zealand record by about two hundred. That Stratford has given tlio Association very solid support may be judged from the fact that Mr Barney Fearon, alone, has handled one hundred entries. The cattle and horse sections are stated to be particularly strong, and the entries at elast seem to dispose of any contention that the change from the Spring to Autumn fixture was not a wisely-considered move. In the fat cattle class, Wanganui and Masterton will be pitted against Taranaki, and keen competition should ensue. Records have been broken in the Jersey, Holstein, and Ayrshire classes, all of which are exceptionally strong. The dairy produce section is larger, and, taken right through, the Show gives promis befoeshrdluetaoincmf gives promise of breaking records in wholesale fashion.
