THE CASE OF HR. RUSSELL. (Per Press Association.) Christchurch, February 11. C. J. Russell, M.D., was before the Supreme Court this morning on a charge of attempting to procure abortion. Mr Stringer, K.C., for the Crown,said that the principal evidence that of the girl, would be corroborated by evidence as to the of the girl to Russell’s house, and also the previous visit of one Stanley Robinson. Robinson himself was absent from the dominion, hut his brother was called. After hearing evidence, the jury returned a verdict of not guilty.
