AMUSEMENTS.
BERNARD’S PICTURES. Patrons who have not seen the current programme at Bernard’s should not miss to-night’s performance, when the series will be screened for the last time. Monday’s programme features “Swift Waters,” a film where the course of true love is shown to run as usual—anything but smooth. There is rivalry between two suitors, and one fortunately rescues the girl when she is in danger of drowning. The rival taking advantage of the fact that both had collapsed, rescued and !\.rescuer wets himself in the river and persuades the girl that he had saved her. Later the trick is exposed, ■'through this lover himself getting into difficulties in the river, and being rescued by his rival. “His Life” is another good drama, dealing with city life.
