CRICKET. A BIG SCORE. (By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.) Barbadoes, February 4. A Barbadoes eleven, who scored 500 for six wickets, defeated a visiting Marylebone team. The latter scor ed 306 in the first innings and 106 in the second. The following team will represent Mr Newton King’s Stratford staff in a cricket match against the Railway Department and Post and Telegraph Department to-morrow afternoon, to be played in "N ictoria Park : Messrs W. 0. The Rugby Union has decided to drop the proposed triangular contest between Auckland, Taranaki and Wellington, and to invite these provinces to play Auckland as follows: Wellington in July, Taranakiin August. Both will be Shield matches if Aucklands holds the trophy. TENNIS. FITZROY V. ST. ANDREW’S. The Fitzroy tennis team, which inflicted such a decisive defeat on St. Andrew’s at the time of the school picnic, are making a trip to Stratford on Thursday, when a return match will be played on the St. Andrew’s courts. The home team will he represented by :—Ladies : Misses Brayshaw, Craig, Petrie, and O’Leary. Men: H. W. Douglas, J. H. Anderson, W. S. Syme, H. Chadwick, A. Patrick and W. H. Jehb. A. L. Jones, H. W. The'match is under the auspices of the Manawatu Association. BOWLING. STRATFORD V.~W PLYMOUTH. The New Plymouth green will be busily engaged to-morrow when four rinks from Stratford will engage with the rinks representing the Stratford Boiling Club. The .following will represent New Plymouth:—Wood, Fookes, Burgess, Smart, A. K. (s); Eraser*, Penn. Medley, Smart, H. (s); Humphries, W., Ewing, Goldwater, A., Rundle, S.
