OUTBREAK ON UPLAND ROAD. Eire totally destroyed a house on the Upland road on Saturday night, owned by the Taranaki County Council and occupied by Mr M. Martin, the News says. Mrs Martin was carrying a lighted lamp when it slipped from her hands and set fire to some inflammable material. The house was insured, but the furniture, which was totally destroyed, was uninsured.
