DEFENCE COMMITTEE’S RESOLUTIONS. London, February 2. l At a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce Naval Military Defence Committee, Lord Roberts presiding, resolutions were passed viewing with concern the increased naval preparations of other nations, and hoping that immediate steps would be taken to maintain Britain’s unchallenged position. The committee was gratified that the overseas contributions were additional to the Government’s programme.
