The Labour Conference passed a resolution that the Insurance Amendment Act must become universal and noncontributory, that they afavored an eight-hours day for all works; the abolition of unemployment, with a national minimum wage of 30s weekly, complete provision against sickness, healthy homes for everyone, the abolition of poor law.
