Sir Arthur Basil (L.), M.P. for Notts, proposed legislation to prevent the suffragettes bringing the law into contempt and ridicule, and asks Mr. McKenna to discontinue forcible feeding to allow them to go hungry. Many windows in White Hall are screened with wire.
