At the Takapuna Jockey Club’s summer' meeting the racing througnon* was good. The totalisator receipts were £24,593 10s, being an increase of £6132 10s over the corresponding day of last year. The attendance was 25,000. Additional results:—
Ferry Handicap, of 100 so vs; five furlongs and a half.—l Toreador 1, 11 Phosphorus 2,2 Tripoli 3. Calliope Handicap, of 120 sovs; five furlongs and a half.—l Lady Alicia 1, 3 Marshall McDonald 2,2 King Lupin 3.
Orcwa Hurdles, of 120 sovs; one mile and three-quarters.—6 Surplus 1, 1 Miss Explosion 2, 5 Hyperion 3. Stewards’ Handicap, of 225 sovs; five furlongs and a half.—3 Overtime 1, 7 Worcester 2,2 Waiorcwa 3. Hobart, January 31. The Derwent Handicap resulted: Uncle Mattel, Cocoatina 2, Sharpshooter 3. Won by three quarters of a length, two lengths bet-veen second and third. Seven started. Time, Imin 16 4-ssec.
