Reuter states that there is pending fresh opposition to the appointmentof a Danish chief inspector of the salt department, on the ground that Danish money was not included in the SixPower loan. The man hinders a settlement. The Chinese regard the French obstruction as being due to a desire to increase China’s difficulties, aid to the interests of Russia’s Mongolian policy.
