(By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright.) (United Press Association.)
Delhi, January 29
It is reported in Bombay that, the police have discovered a clue to the Hardinge outrage. Suspicion rests on a gang of Crafims. The outrage is believed to bo an offshoot of the Nosik conspiracy.
Several native rumours state that private individuals offered Lord Hardinge 70,000 rupees for charity to mark the Viceroy’s opening of the Legislative Council.
Another operation on Lord Hardinge will be necessary to remove some foreign substance which is retarding the healing of his wound.
