TREVANION'S DEATH.

The doctor testified to Trevanion’s drug-taking habits, and said that he did not believe that lie was addicted to an unnatural vice. Roe had done much to wean the deceased from drugs. AT THE INQUEST. It was reported on January. 14tl that Mr Hugh Trevanion, a confirmee victim of the veronal habit, died a Hove, Sussex, in September last, am it was supposed that he had accident ally taken an overdose of the drug but it was now thought that he ma; have been murdered. In he; evidence at the inquiry the mother o Trevanion said the doctors had re peatedly warned Trevanion against tin drug habit. He lived much a par from his family. Mr Muir, on be half of the Crown, said Trevanion hat been in the habit of taking a cache-, containing seven grains in order to in duce sleep, and sometimes a secqm one. It would have been impossib! to have taken more in error. Roe’; statement was the only proof tha Trevanion took veronal prior to be coming unconscious. With the exception of legacie. of £1550, he left the residue to Roc or to hospitals if Roe predeceased him Both men lived in sumptuous apart rnents at Hove. Trevanion met Roc two years ago aboard a liner whereoi Roe was an officer. Trevanion was seriously ill and Roe nursed him. Tin: resulted in the closest friendship be tween the two men.
